Time spent figuring things out is not wasted time
Wednesday, 9 January 2019Post graduating, society tells to get a job straight after Uni and then that's how you begin your adult life. So once, I graduated it is what I did. Began to apply for jobs, faced rejection after rejection and then ended up getting a job for a company I really respect and inspires me. However, I was not enjoying what I was doing.
The end of the year came and I remember starting the year 2018 so unhappy. Surely there was more to life than following the path society set us up. I then took the decision to figure things out and quit my job. I realised I had not spend much time with family for a long time since moving to the UK. So I took my suitcase and went home, one thing let to another and a month later I was travelling to Rwanda to visit my grandparents. It was an amazing trip, completely fell in love with my country.
A couple of months later I went on another trip to Italy with my girls, which was so much fun and when I felt ready I came back to the UK.
At this point I can say that my head is more clear and really grateful to the courage I have took to leave everything behind in order to figure things out, cause it is exactly what I needed.
2018 for me was a year of figuring things out and preparation
I still don't know where I am heading to but I trust God to lead the path.
